generally officialdom doesn't get self employment, just regular jobs with W2s A friend at the Y was saying that he had to give up his BBQ truck...

cause child support just didn't understand how business works, then he got a job selling cell phones at the Mall, no problems even though he wasn't making as much, it was a paperwork trail they could understand. so he would take the truck out on weekends or cater parties (he had this huge smoker and could BBQ whole pigs)
so unless you had a publisher setting the route, etc they probably think you were jiving the system
