The only thing to really take away from those games is that a community college team can score on Hammel.

So the Twins have a shot tomorrow.
That college game was a charity game that the Pirates used to do. They stopped and the O's stepped up so that it wouldn't need to be canceled. They also used it to get in some work for Hammel (pitching for the O's) and Wada (pitching for the college). Most O's starters sat out, and they also loaned a backup catcher to the other team.
The game against the Tides was scoreless when it started to rain and Buck pulled all the O's players. When the scoring started to happen it was basically a AAA split-squad game.
But it makes for easy "wow, the O's are really bad" articles. I can't remember if it was mentioned much when the Pirates (also mostly their bench and/or minor league players) lost to that same team.
