It was all over the news here when it was announced. Any news about Cincy natives (or anyone who grew up here) gets big play. So anything about Clooney, the Lacheys, or SJP gets repeated headlines in print and on TV. They can be very provincial here. The latest one to get attention is Josh Hutcherson, who's from Union, KY, which is couple towns south of here.
Oh, and for the record, I'd never heard of 98 Degrees until I moved here and wouldn't recognize one of their songs if I heard it.
