Based on what we know, I have little doubt that Zimmerman is an overt racist. But racist != murderer. This is a very complicated case, and his interview (while clearly biased) would be phenomenally interesting to me.

(Caveat: my gut, based on what we know, says he is guilty of something. But I don't have all of the evidence, so I don't want to lock myself in to a ruling yet.)
