I'm of two minds on this.

If he's really the innocent fowl who thought he was in danger and defended himself, then the defensive 'how did this happen to me angle' makes sense to me.

Everything I've seen suggests he is not the innocent fowl of course. At a minimum, I think he followed Travyon based on his race alone and there a problem there.

But I think this case is very complicated, and I think Zimmerman's side of the story is important. The world isn't black and white and this case is a supreme example of grayness.
