I dont know that my child will have one that early...but given how pay phones are now pretty much a thing of the past, I can see him having one

earlier than I'd like. Seems to be partially a matter of safety.
I was always able to find a pay phone if I needed to contact my parents. Doesnt seem likely that will be the case in another few years.
