I would say that's because many of the contestants on the voice are already professionals (appeared on broadway, had recording careers, etc.). It's

the thing I like least about the show. At the same time, I tend to find the best of AI to be better than the best of the Voice so far. I really would love to see an annual event pitting the winners of the voice, x factor and AI against each other.
