Odd baseball fact: Rick Porcello already has 39 career wins. He's 23 and 4 months old.

His career ERA of 4.54 represents an ERA+ of 94 (in others below average), but pitching on this Tigers team for the next few years, he is going to continue to rack up wins. He should be at 100 when he's 27, assuming good health.

All things considered, a 23 year old who's a default league average (95-105 imo qualifies) is pretty solid. -- nm

He strikes me as Jack Morris, a guy who does enough to win but doesn't scare anybody. -- nm

Course, being Jack Morris isn't exactly a bad thing.

That's my point. He's not a Matt Moore but what he does consistently is win. Few starters can claim that.
