on their ages (an 18 mo old during into that size, etc) or should I buy a size up?
Nathan will be 1 in February, so I'm anyways afraid a jacket sized 12 mo will be too small, but 18 mo might swim on him.
How does this usually work? Danke.

Lil' Vermin has always worna size higher than her age designates, but yeah, in ANY case, buy a size up so it lasts longer. -- nm

Always buy a size ahead. I would get the 18 month.

I would a) suggest that the $10 you'll save on the coat now is not worth the annoyance of guessing wrong, but b) suggest 18 months. -- nm
