Woody has worked just as steadily, probably more, since Cheers went off the air.

Woody has one noticeable gap in there where he didn't have any movies released. He's worked very steadily since the end of Cheers, probably moreso than most actors. That break came after doing 14 movies (and a couple tv episodes) in about 6 years. He probably needed a break after that. And in the 9 years since the break, he's had nearly 30 movies released. With at least one more due out this year and 2more next year.
Both have failures since Cheers, but one thing is apparent. Danson is a tv actor, Woody is a movie actor.
