...for people, in my book, and I commend her for this choice.
Making this career choice -- if you can look at it that way -- s/b no different from any other career choice a spouse wants to make.
Two peeps who agree to join in the life-adventure of raising a family together usually get the best results when there is equity in the relationship.
Just b/c she's a woman, and a new mom shouldn't make any difference. (You're a new dad: if you were making a new career choice, what criteria would you apply to your decision?
There may be aspects of this choice that you both must explore -- increased responsibilities as role models, for example -- before accepting any congregation.
Otherwise, lots can happen in 4-5 years, and she may 'get what she wants' from the exploratory process.
