Overseas revenue collection is only about 20% of ticket sales. Studios champion these numbers to keep the stock from suffering.

This is why we are seeing more Battleship-style releases internationally rather than domestically. Casual observers don't realize that domestic revenue is a factor of 4 more lucrative to the bottom line.
