Has anyone ever bought "VIP" tickets to a festival type concert event? Was it cool? Worth it?

There's a 1 day festival coming to Calgary with several bands I'd like to see. The lineup announced so far is:

Linkin Park
Incubus
Silversun Pickups
Young The Giant
Fun.
The Joy Formidable
MuteMath
The Pack A.D.

I'm a huge Incubus fan, so that's the main attraction for me, but I know a few others.

Aaaaaanyway, VIP tickets are $150 each and include "priority VIP entrance to the show, admission to the exclusive VIP area featuring private bar service with premium beverage selection, amenities, priority access to the artist autograph area, and a souvenir X-FEST 2012 laminate".

Thoughts or experiences to share?
