It's semantics, I know. It keeps the peace and is a nice thing but it doesn't really solve anything

because really what we're talking about is people's internal reactions, not their external posting. It's akin to keeping something bottled up and eventually it explodes. Unless internal attitudes change, it's just the same stuff in a cycle
