Justified season 3 finale spoilers

The writer of the teleplay says in his video blog that Quarles is reaching for the arm, not the gun. He also adds that the original plan was to do the entire sequence digitally with Quarles and Limehouse. The bit with Raylan and Quarles wherein Raylan winds up holding the arm was improvised on the set that day.
