Survivor spoiler

Making the auction in US cash is genius, even if it wasn't intended. People have a hard time getting past the value of cash. It's crazy to pay $100 on two chocolate bars and a bowl of peanut butter. Or $40 on a shower, which probably felt good enough to be worth it. Had they given them something else, like rock, the bidding would be different. There wouldn't be reluctance from people. Nobody would sweat shelling out 10 rocks (the equivalent of $200) for a shower or any food. The bidding would be crazier, but then we couldn't mock the people who left the auction with nothing.

And Troyzan made the smart statement of opening for 500 on help with the next challenge, but he didn't follow it up.
