I have an idea to fix Survivor.

I think, once they merge, they should have one or two "reverse immunity challenges", where everyone competes, and you get immunity by not losing.
I have come to loathe the concept that people make it to the end while for weeks they are dead weight simply because others know they stand no chance at the final. It deflates the whole season because you end up losing compelling characters and keeping worthless ones.
In my opinion, the best moments come from the unexpected in the game, like when a tribe has to immediately vote without having the time to talk things out and plan.
If you had essentially an "elimination" challenge or two, you would, in theory, eliminate weaker players and potentially shake up alliances. You could even work the challenge in a way where some people could help others from being eliminated, exposing potential alliances.
I just think the format of the game has run it's course when everyone is playing based on what they expect to happen based on previous seasons. Redemption was an interesting idea, but the chances of someone coming back and not simply being voted out again are too small.
Yes, I think about this stuff a lot.
