included the opposing counsel in her distribution list when couriering out documents (this was in the days where docs were still distributed by fax or courier). The materials contained a detailed analysis of her assessment of the likely settlement value of the claim, so it was a HUGE mistake.
She called opposing counsel to tell him that documents had been sent to him in error, so please destroy them. He refused, so she drove like a bat out of hell to the Mailboxes Etc box where the docs had been sent. She tried to get the Mailboxes employee behind the counter to give her the documents, but he (correctly) refused. While she was there, the opposing attorney came in to claim the documents. Fisticuffs ensued and she wound up losing her shit and whacking both opposing counsel and the Mailboxes Etc. dude in the head repeatedly with her umbrella.
The whole thing made the press and as you can imagine, the firm was not happy.
