a hold had been placed on my account because I made a "rather large" deposit. The hold will be there until the check clears. (The account I made the deposit in is not the account my debit card draws from.)

Thanks, PNC? I dont mind the hold, but a heads up would have been great so I wasn't trying to make a $20 purchase that wouldn't go through.
