Observations after rewatching Cabin in the Woods (spoilers)

I don't think the sketch of the professor looks like Stephen King. King has an unusual face and the sketch is of a conventionally handsome guy. Plus it's from a weird angle behind his ear.

The harbinger (Am I on speaker?) has comments that could be applied to the men running the show and not just the sacrifices.

The virgin is definitely not. Besides the professor fling she confirms it in some dialog with the scholar.

I can't explain the fool not dying. He gets dragged in the grave and there is a large splatter of red blood, which must be his because zombies have black blood. So maybe the trowel is pulled out, spraying red blood, but then he overpowers Judah and dismembers him. Unlikely, but possible.

I could not read what the intern wrote on the clipboard. Looked like 4 short words. They must have a very long internship program because the intern made a comment about something that happened last year.

I could not figure what in the basement mapped to a unicorn. Seriously, nothing came remotely close.

When Bradley Whitford is on the red phone he says "Everything was within the guidelines" or "It was within the guidelines" I couldn't remember the exact wording. There were more lines but it was more like yes and no stuff, so nothing signficant.

The stoner's actions in the end make more sense when you hear his rant about society and cracks while in the RV en route.

Some of the items on the whiteboard that are blocked out from the screen shot posted before are giants and jack o lantern. I don't remember seeing unicorn. I also couldn't see it in the wide shot where they show lots of beasties. We didn't see a giant spider kill people in the end, even though it was prominently featured in the wide shot.

A copy of the novelization showed up from Amazon while I was out, so I'll be reading that to see if I can get any more answers.

The movie holds up and is entertaining on second viewing.
