Well, that was, uh, something.

Rather than go to the gym tonight, I decided to walk the dog around our development. The main road is a half mile from end to end. We walked to one entrance and he was such a good boy, walking on the walkway next to me, with zero problems. So we get to the end and I think, hey, rather than turn around and head back, why don't I try walking around in a square? So we basically walked around on the side of the main street from one entryway to another.

Holy shit, I can't believe that dog didn't kill me or get himself killed. Without pavement/walkway, he ran in a "W" formation - darting to the left into the street, then darting to the right, over and over and over. By the time we got to the other entryway, I was holding the leash a foot from his collar, and he was still trying to dart away.

Yeah, not a good idea in hindsight.
