He ordered an xray, which we took care of today but didn't wait around for the results since she is seeing the specialist in the morning. We expect that he'll order a MRI.

At which point my wife and I will have a fight. I'll win, but we need to go through the motions. You see, we have a high deductible health plan so most (if not all) of this is going to come out of our pocket. My wife has already said that she doesn't want a MRI because she is concerned about the cost. I have calmly explained that a couple grand isn't a high price to pay for the ability to walk.
