Well, we don't have the option for the "normal" coverage.

And we've just had terrible luck every year that we've been on the high deductible plan. Ordinarily I'd say we'd save money (and that still might be true - it's just distributed differently), but it sure is a tough hit to have to pay it all in lump sums.

To wit, I'd been suffering through major pain in my foot for a couple of months because I really don't want to have to pay for whatever tests/surgery etc. might be needed. It's finally gotten bad enough that I made an appointment to have it looked at. Blah.

I hope that your wife gets the care she needs and that she's up and active quickly.
