When I played little league (more than 10 years ago) bats were $175-200. Parents pay it, trust me.

same thing for hockey/golf/etc. Alot of parents see their kid as the next Tiger Woods.Gretzky, etc and will pay whatever it costs to get him/her there -- nm

I don't know about gretzky, but Woods' dad did a lot more than buy him pricey clubs.
