When I click on my bookmark for the site it's different than the links on the board.
For example, my bookmark goes to the address www.slackertalk.com
But the link above the board takes me to www.slackertalk.com/index.php

Is there any real difference? The only diiference I noticed is that when I click on my bookmark my handle goes back to Krusty and doesn't stay as whatever joke name I used in my last post. But clicking on the link above the board leaves the joke nickname in place and doesn't reset it back to my normal handle.
Any other differences or is that all?

The database is the same for all those variations, and the cookie that stores the username is usually tied to the full domain name - Beryllium Apr 24, 08:41 4
