Beaker, everyone's still trying to figure it out

A lot of it is coming down to leftists holding their nose and voting PC to keep out Wild Rose, and also Albertan cantankerousness and lying to pollsters on principle (this isn't totally crazy).

Krusty, conservative does means something a little different here, especially when it has the progressive in front of it. They're a centre-right party historically, but have move towards the centre of late, particularly with the new premier, who in her first official act gave back millions to the schools that had been cut just months before. This group of PCs could probably find a lot of common cause with the Democrats, even if they'd find the Americans way far to the right on health care. :)

The Wildrose Party could have worn a Tea Party shirt without it fitting too loosely, so a lot of people in this province (including me) were freaked out about them coming into power. If I'd voted my absolute preference, it would have been for the Liberal candidate, who I've met and respect personally to a large degree. He won anyway quite handily so I'm not all that upset about how I voted. If someone handed me a do-over I'd definitely take it. :)

OTOH, I've voted for 6 different parties in various elections so it's not like I'm fixed in space. :)
