My desk is always clean since it's not actually my desk. I don't usually use the same desk each day.

In the ER I can be at one of five different areas and it rotates from day to day so today I'm registering patients that come in but tomorrow I could be answering phones or splitting/preparing charts for patients that are being admitted. No one leaves anything behind. I can honestly say we all leave the desks clean for the person relieving us.

I don't have a desk at my night job since it's a cleaning job.
