So how many general contractors will I have to contact before I'm able to find one to do the minor home repairs that are needed?

Today, GC #5 comes out to give us an estimate.
GC #1, doesn't return e-mails or telephone calls, mostly because his voice mail box is full; but you'd think if you took the time to submit an estimate, albeit 4 days after you said you would, and but for a few changes the customer was ready to hire you and responds to your email with "please call back so we can revise the estimate and get to work!, you'd give them a call back...
GC #2 & 3 never even called back to come out and see the work that needed to be done.
GC #4 "couldn't get through the gate" (gated community) (even though the gate is connected to our cell phones and he never tried to call us to get in...) and called us an hour and a half later saying he'd see what his schedule looked like and would call us back...(this was three days ago).
So GC #5 is coming out today.
I mean I know it's just minor repairs, not going to get rich off doing them, but come on already!

Yup, you'd think in today's economy they'd be all over any job they can find. -- nm
