help, please: I'm researching new tires, and a guy at a tire store just told me that my car should have "v" rated ones..

google tells me:
This tire has a speed rating of V, which means 149 mph (240 km/h) is the maximum speed that can be sustained for 10 minutes. A higher speed becomes dangerous.

since I seldom go 149 (stoopid commute traffic!), is there anything else involved with the letter rating? these (michelin primacy) are ~$20 more each, not including tax, etc., and are warrantied 60K vs. 90 for the tires I was originally checking (michelin hydroedge).
