with all the research I did before I bought that car, it never occurred to me to check if it had expensive tires (no surprise now, since my car shared almost everything with its audi counterpart) or antifreeze or battery vs. other not-particularly-special cars. I looked at average maintenace costs, but nothing stood out. they should have been highlighted, as those added up!

it's good to be back to a car that isn't so special, except for the V tire thing. (for anyone else reading, the guy tried again to explain the need; but it ended up with both of us laughing. ;) -)
