Decide if there is anything you can hear from "bitch" or X that would restore your faith in your wife. If there isn't, then stop now.

Continuing will just enrage you, gain you no clarity and leave you in exactly the same situation with your wife.
Decide now if you want to stay married and work things out because things are already pretty bad if you've decided you can't take your wife at her word.
If you do want to work things out then get a marriage counselor and go.
If you don't want to work things out then get a lawyer.
