locking brakes to avoid a cat - and then after the deer - coming into town - I had a Jeep decide to turn from the fast food driveway into traffic cutting me off such that were I not by that point paranoid and fully expecting this guy was going to do exactly that - he would have completely wiped out my passenger side of my vehicle.

Yesterday was a good case study in defensive driving. Hopefully today is not as I have to drive my brother's Mini Cooper from our office up to his house on the Lake with a co-worker to bring me back so that it will be there when he arrives next week. The roads to his home are regular deer crossings ... the normal 30 minute drive may take me considerably longer today!
