So my wife applied for a Target REDcard, didn't realize it was a credit card, no problem, except we never received the first two statements

so now we owe about $70 in late fees on $90 in purchases. What smart thing can I say to the Target people to get them to waive the late fees and cancel the card. They gave my wife a hard time and didn't offer when she asked about it after they kept calling the house and not leaving messages
