The whole story

Dating 14 months. I'm a teacher, she's finishing her masters to also become a teacher. Went to dinner last evening and then walked around a neighborhood here in Cincinnati that we really love. Finished the walk in a little park in the neighborhood. Sat on a park bench and talked a while. Finally I said "I don't know about you, but I'd like to stop talking about getting married and actually start getting married" Got on a knee and proposed. It was sweet. She had no idea.

Called her parents (who I had already asked a while ago). Turns out yesterday was their anniversary. I had no idea, but that's a sweet little coincidence.

Very very happy. It went perfectly.

Had no idea how difficult it would be in this modern era to get the information out first hand to people we care about without them finding out on twitter or facebook. We had to make about 50 calls in an hour last night.
