Every other year we have a significant storm power out for a couple days, winter natch.
I'd say we have average 3 power outs a year
I noticed we need to replace a candle in the bathroom.
When we moved in, the first house improve proj was to install a wood stove, not just for the mellinial panic, but a year before they had a historic ice storm and the hood was powerless for ten days

A few times/year. Here, stuff usually goes screwy when we get actual weather. -- nm

a couple of times a year. I have a few flashlights and candles, but if it's more than a few hours I go to a friend's place. -- nm
