Our neighborhood is almost entirely post-war ranches without garages.

One of our friends that lives in the next neighborhood over said she walked by about 15 cars and 13 of them no longer have a windshield.
Responses:
are there rules against car ports? maybe you avoid them by having a 'temporary' structure, a carport with piano wheels -- nm
