You are responding to a post that is wrong. Not everyone with income pays Federal Income Taxes.

It's taken out of your paycheck, yes. You end up getting that ALL back so you pay nothing. That is what the article is talking about. If $1000 of taxes is taken out of your paycheck for the year for Federal Income Taxes. And you have a kid giving you a tax credit, and a mortgage, and you get $1000 back. You paid nothing.
