FWIW, I think the audibooks that I've listened to narrated by Roy Dotrice are only second to the Harry Potter books with regards to the multiple voices by the narrator and the performance as opposed to simply reading.
Your paraphrased quote reminded me that Dotrice's version of that character is spooky and dead on with regards to the speech pattern
