And it could be my personal bias as I've come to the understand that musically I love chicks. (Garbage, Distillers/Spinerette, Heart, Go-Go's, Berlin, Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis/Jenny and Johnny / er, Olivia Newton John)

But are female voices just missing from rock that would qualify from the list?

And yes, I know that having brought up the point that I ought to provide examples but that escapes me at this moment
