Drawing I: An introduction to drawing in a variety of media including charcoal, cont� crayon, pencil, and ink. Students will draw a variety of subjects including still life, landscapes and life models. Emphasis will be placed on developing an understanding of developing line and tone, composition, gesture, anatomy, basic perspective, and other perceptual concepts.

Painting I: An introduction to painting. Students will paint a variety of subjects utilizing representation and abstraction. Emphasis will be placed on developing an understanding of the physical properties of paint and its mediums, application techniques, and color mixing. Students will develop an understanding of line and tone, composition, perspective, and other perceptual concepts.
