$200-$250 for just pads, but on VWs with 130k miles, they really suggest replacing the rotors due to normal wear, which adds another $150 to $175.
the dealer price for pads and rotors was $388 before taxes.
sigh.

Tell them you'll do the rotors in a month or two when you have the money. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the old ones.
