In the 70's it was often touted that some band sold more tickets, or sold out faster than the Beattles, well, duh, they were basically the first

to book into a stadium, they didn't have speaker stacks and amp systems, they just put their studio/club speakers on the stage and played, no monitors, no mega watts of power amps. I don't think anybody really heard them at candelestick park. they only sold a couple thousand tickets, a fraction of what the place would hold
