i am not the kind of person to leave someone high and dry in a job. i hired her, i don't want someone i hired to fail.

we had a lot of discussions when she started about the direction of our group, our service, etc. this is a brand new team, so it's not like i'm bringing someone in to a set way of doing things - the idea is to know how it's done now, and run with it. i give my employees full reign to be creative, reach out to vendors, try new things.
i like a free environment where i can do my own thing, learn at my own pace, and work on new ideas. i give my folks the same leeway. she abused that freedom by goofing off, wandering around, and not focusing on her learning. if she at any time said "hey, i need help with X" i would have either helped her myself, or would have asked one of the other guys on the team to assist. but i got none of that.
