back in the 80s/90s my boss didnt write paychecks, he wrote debit withdrawls on a bank account (you had to go to that bank to get your pay).

in the 90s, one employee setup a transfer with the bank, where he would show up with the slip, and they would transfer his money to his bank. the employee was paying for this on his own.

this pissed my boss off so much, he fired the guy on the spot when he found out, because "he didnt authorize anyone to get paid electronically"
