I was working in the medical transcription office. I found out early afternoon after hearing it on the radio. I had to take a walk.
I went down to the original Newbury Comics that evening and hung out with the crowd. People were really upset.
Say what you will about Love (except that she killed him, she didn't) but she was distraught. I remember her crying while reading his suicide note to some Nirvana fans.
