So, I'm going to experiment with something at Relay tomorrow, and I need some camera insight.

Using the tool on the page linked below, I'm going to hook up my Nikon D40 to my laptop and do a time-lapse capture of the event from 7:30 AM tomorrow until 7 AM Sunday morning - 24 hours.
Two questions I need help with:
1 - easyish: how often should I set it to take a picture? Every minute? 2 minutes? more or less? I'm thinking 1 every minute.
2 - I don't know much about manual settings. This is what the view will look like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jaxsean/5696538469/in/photostream
So how do I figure out what to set the camera to on P/S/A mode? I tried to figure it out once (and had some good early shots), but then forgot and have completely lost what to do. Any insight would be appreciated.
