- Every single was an already established franchise in books, comic books or previous films.
- All are sequels except for Batman, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and Spider-Man (I'm counting Avengers as a sequel).
- Since 1989, the list has been dominated by comic films. 7 out of the last 12 record holders were comic books films.
