Rosenthal is mistaken, and it's one of my issues with the pitch.

Rosenthal says he hit him him "on the backside, the fleshy part of the body..." That is wrong. He hit him in the lower back, very close to his backbone. That is usually not a fleshy part of the body.
He's also wrong that it's old school.
