One has stock Android and the other has a skin on top of it. That's more or less the difference.

The new Evo I think is Sprint's version of the HTC One, which is the new hotness in the Android world.

Truthfully, I would go to a Sprint store and play with both. It's going to come down to personal preference whether you like the stock or skinned versions of Android.
