I think I'm pretty consistent on deflating what seems like shocking statistics with reality.

You can say "oh, it would never happen" but the fact is I *can* be fired for being straight. From a legal perspective, it makes no difference whether it might happen.
To say "I can be fired for being gay in a right to work state" is also a canard because you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all.
I'm all for letting you guys get married but to trot out statistics like that drives me crazy because it's not a realistic view of why you could be fired. It's not like in those states you are protected for being straight but fired for being gay. And that's what the statistic purports.
